{"id":7299,"date":"2026-07-10T12:39:49","date_gmt":"2026-07-10T10:39:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cinefast.com\/?p=7299"},"modified":"2026-07-10T14:41:12","modified_gmt":"2026-07-10T12:41:12","slug":"backrooms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cinefast.com\/?p=7299","title":{"rendered":"Backrooms"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">C&rsquo;est le sommet de la vague Arty-Horror, un genre qui a fait la r\u00e9putation de la maison de production A24 depuis quinze ans, devenue <em>powerhouse <\/em>d&rsquo;Hollywood par le truchemet d&rsquo;une strat\u00e9gie maligne de films d\u2019horreur intellos (<strong>The Lighthouse, Midsommar, The Green Knight, Heretic<\/strong>\u2026) et de gros budgets accord\u00e9s \u00e0 des chouchous ind\u00e9 (Josh Safdie, Barry Jenkins, Kelly Reichardt, Jonah Hill, Joel Coen, Sean Durkin, Jonathan Glazer\u2026)* <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un <em>one for them, one for us <\/em>modernis\u00e9 via des s\u00e9ries B. B, oui, mais \u00e0 gros budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La hype ne pouvait donc \u00eatre plus forte avec <strong>Backrooms\u00a0<\/strong>: \u00a0une photo myst\u00e9rieuse d\u2019<em>open space<\/em> vide qui traine sur 4chan, un <em>wannabe <\/em>cin\u00e9aste qui improvise (\u00e0 seize ans\u00a0!) une s\u00e9rie YouTube sur cette <em>creepypasta<\/em>, ces l\u00e9gendes urbaines qui bourgeonnent sur le net\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Imm\u00e9diatement rep\u00e9r\u00e9 par A24, le d\u00e9butant Kane Parsons se voit confier deux gros acteurs (Chiwetel Ejiofor (<strong>12 Years a Slave<\/strong>) et Renate Reinsve (<strong>Valeur Sentimentale<\/strong>)) et 10M$ pour filmer ces espaces liminaires\u2026**<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le r\u00e9sultat est l\u00e0 : le gamin a des id\u00e9es, une patte, et un sc\u00e9nario myst\u00e9rieux. En l&rsquo;occurrence, un vendeur de meubles au bord du <em>nervous breakdown<\/em> d\u00e9couvre au sous-sol de son magasin un <em>open space<\/em> abandonn\u00e9. Ce labyrinthe sans fin ressemble plut\u00f4t \u00e0 une installation d\u2019art contemporain, ce qui, avouons-le, compose l&rsquo;essentiel de l\u2019originalit\u00e9 et de l&rsquo;int\u00e9r\u00eat du film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le reste est plus classique\u00a0: cris bizarres, <em>jump scares<\/em>, s\u00e9quence chez la psy qui orientent le film vers la maladie mentale. Mais <strong>Backrooms <\/strong>a la noblesse de ne pas vraiment donner de sens \u00e0 cette \u00e9nigme. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On reste quand m\u00eame en terrain connu, un peu trop balis\u00e9 peut-\u00eatre.
